At Youth Concern it’s incredibly important to us that young people feel they have a voice, are listened to and that we act on the feedback they give us. Every 6 months we run a survey to understand the impact visiting our Drop-in Centre has on them. These are the key finding of the survey we did this month:
100% tell us they feel valued and included when visiting our Drop-in Centre
79% feel more self-confident
92% have learnt new things
88% have had the chance to do something they’re good at
63% have engaged with services that develop independent living skills
91% have accessed help with education or employment
“I always feel so happy when I’m at youth and everyone is so nice.”
“I feel very good and safe in this environment, and everyone is very friendly”.
“It is my favourite place to talk and chill.”
“Love the people, the vibes, and the entire environment it creates.”
“Food’s banging!”

We’re delighted that the young people who visit our Drop-In Centre have only positive things to say about their experience and we will continue to look at how we can create a space where they can feel safe, be real and thrive.
