Over the past 6 weeks, some of our young people have been working on an incredible art project here in Aylesbury – collaborating with professional artists and the community to transform a public space into a place of pride, creativity, and connection. The Cambridge Street underpass transformation is transforming much more than the walls of a subway:

• It is giving young people a voice, they have co-designed and executed the artwork
• It is building young people’s skills and confidence in art, teamwork and project delivery
• And it is strengthening community pride – turning a once overlooked space into a safe, inspiring and welcoming environment.

The mural is being completed this week and will be officially opened next week. Have a look if you’re in Aylesbury.
A massive thank you to Buckinghamshire Council, Aylesbury Town Council, Aylesbury Youth Town Council, Buckinghamshire Culture, Thames Valley Police, and the young people for making this happen.
