While we help 13-25 year olds in accommodation crises (read more about our Next Step Project here and Nightstop Aylesbury here), we work hard to try and prevent homelessness in the first place. On Thursday 2 March, our CEO Hannah spoke for 20 minutes to the National Lottery Community Fund, Comic Relief, Children in Need, Paul Hamlyn, Lloyds Bank, Greenwood Place, LandAid and St Martins Frontline Network about what homeless prevention work looks like.

She explained that getting crisis services funded like Nightstop and the Next Step Project is relatively easy, but it’s harder to fund the underlying preventative work we do from our Drop-in Centre. We hope the outcome of the meeting will be the birth of a collaborative prevention grant programme for the homelessness sector.
