Would you like to join our board of trustees?

With the launch of the Next Step Project, our supported accommodation project for homeless young people, a raft of new programmes and blended virtual/face to face service delivery from our Drop-in Centre, and growth in our counselling team, Youth Concern has increased in complexity, scope and size in the last 18 months. We seek to expand our board with the appointment of 3 new trustees, senior leaders with the following experience:
- Charity secretary
- HR
- Property/ buildings / supported accommodation
We are committed to being more representative of the communities we serve at board level. We would therefore particularly welcome applications from candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, including lived experience relevant to the work of Youth Concern.
Remuneration: these are voluntary roles. Expenses will be reimbursed in line with our expenses policy.
Location: generally, meetings are held in Aylesbury, Bucks. Some meetings are held online.
Time commitment: there are six 2 hour trustees meetings annually plus sub-committee meetings. Other time commitments will include mandatory training and ad hoc projects. Trustees give approx. 3-8 hours monthly.
Applications: if you feel your skills and experience are relevant, we would be delighted to hear from you.
