Youth Concern changed its legal entity from registered charity (No. 277935) to Charitable Incorporated Organisation CIO (No. 1175680) on 1st October 2019, as detailed here.

This is reflected in our constitution.

Youth Concern Accounts 2019 final

Please note the following:

Youth Concern’s accounts and Trustees’ report for the period 1st April 2018 to 30th September 2019 (the final period of operation of the “old” Youth Concern) covers an 18 month period rather than the usual 12 month period. This longer period allowed the end of the period of operation of the “old” Youth Concern to be aligned with the start of the period of operation of the new Youth Concern CIO.

The accounts for this 18 month period between 1st April 2018 and 30th September 2019 also include income raised in advance of launching the Next Step project, our supported accommodation project that intends to welcome its first residents later this year. The accounts therefore show higher levels of cash and reserves than the Trustees of the charity would usually expect to be the case.

Our past financial accounts can be found here.
