If you have previous experience of working with young people or are looking to build your experience in youth work, we invite you to consider volunteering with Youth Action.
Youth Work Volunteers
We are always looking for individuals with good listening skills, a positive and compassionate attitude and an ability to adapt to best meet the needs of our visitors and our organisation.
We provide training for all Youth Work volunteers. This aims to help you feel more confident in the role and ensure consistency in our services. We can help you develop skills, such as IT and employment support so that you are equipped to help young people with these challenges.
We are also looking for volunteer fundraisers who can help us to plan events, or drive initiatives that fund our organisation. If you have a head for numbers, creative ideas or previous fundraising experience, you could be a real asset to our team.
If you are practical, have a natural ability to diagnose and fix things, and have a few hours to spare, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a willing volunteer to support us with the maintenance and general repairs of our building.
Our organisation is overseen by a Board of Trustees who make decisions that meet the needs of our beneficiaries and safeguard our assets. If you are interested in joining our board, please get in touch.
We ask all prospective volunteers to complete our volunteer application form. This must be accompanied by a DBS (criminal record check), as you will be supporting vulnerable young people. If you do not have a current DBS, we can provide you with the application form.
