Coronavirus update: WE ARE STILL OPEN!

(In fact, we’re open on more days and for more hours than normal!)

Although we won’t be opening our drop-in centre on Whitehill Lane until further notice, we’ve launched a new triage service. Any 13-25 year old is welcome to call us on 01296 431183, text or whatsapp on 07470 833500, or use our live chat to speak to a friendly member of the Youth Concern team. You’ll be able to chat with a youth worker or counsellor 1:1 using a safe platform of your choice.

We’re here for you if you need:

  • counselling
  • emergency accommodation / are at risk of homelessness
  • or would like information about education, employment, housing, welfare, sexual health, addition.

See our weekly lockdown timetable

We also have big plans afoot to run a number of new virtual services:

  • podcasts
  • live streaming
  • music sessions

And more! Watch this space! But most of all, call us on 01296 431183 Mon-Fri 10am-5pm.

Support for Young People

Youth Concern provides emotional and practical support for young people suffering abuse, poverty and homelessness. We are there when family breakdowns, bereavement, mental health issues, drug or alcohol problems or financial difficulties leave you feeling isolated and unsure where to turn.

We will be here for you. We will encourage you to identify the actions that are appropriate to your situation and empower you to follow these through.

If you need our support, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Youth Concern In Action

We are delighted to show you this film to give you a real feel for the impact our work has. Watch the film to meet Charlie and Sharna.

We stand apart from other youth support agencies because the support we offer is informal, flexible, responsive and designed to meet individual need at a pace which is right for each young person.
