On Wednesday 19th January, CEO Hannah, Drop-in Centre Project Manager Jax and Senior Youth Worker Chloe visited High Wycombe to meet some of the organisations, CIOs and charities supporting young people in the town. It was exciting to find out more about
- Mama Bee’s new youth work training course with Amber
- the ways Khepera is improving community health and wellbeing from their new kitchen facilities, through Charmaine
- how Action4Youth have turned a little used space about a library into a youth centre, with Ayo and Emily
- just how vital Wycombe Homeless Connection are for adults facing homelessness in south Bucks

It was also great to take time away from our busy Drop-in Centre to discuss how we can continue to meet the needs of the ever-growing number of vulnerable 13-25 year olds in Aylesbury Vale turning to us for support.
Part of our new 3 year strategy (which you can read here!) is to collaborate even more with other youth service providers, recognising and signposting to each other’s specialisms. That’s what the visit was all about. Together we are stronger. Together we can do so much more to better support vulnerable young people.
And a big thank you to Charmaine for offering us slices of her homemade vegan Black Forest gateau. It was absolutely delicious!
