Our Counselling service is an important and greatly valued part of the work that Youth Concern do to support young people in Aylesbury Vale. Through our fantastic team of counsellors, we are able to provide counselling completely free of charge to an average of 70 young people a month.
So, we were especially delighted when the Aylesbury Town Council committee agreed to award £1,500 towards the running cost of this vital service.
Over the past 12 months, we have been able to significantly increase capacity for this service and with such high demand this award from Aylesbury Town Council means we can reduce waiting times for the young people who need our help.
Margaret Woolley, who heads up our Counselling Service says:
“A big thank you to Aylesbury Town Council and other donors for their support. It means we can continue to provide an excellent service and achieve high levels of client engagement and wonderful feedback from the young people who receive counselling from us.”
