| Our CEO Hannah enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the House of Commons with our local MP, Laura Kyrke-Smith, to discuss opportunities for young people across Buckinghamshire. Laura will be writing to Lisa Nandy, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, to ask when details of the government’s Better Youth Spaces Fund will be announced, and how the locations of the remaining Young Futures Hubs will be decided. We discussed the importance of ensuring semi-rural communities like Aylesbury Vale aren’t forgotten. We’re excited to be exploring a future youth event that will bring together young people, schools and youth organisations from across Aylesbury Vale to help shape how the new national youth strategy should be implemented locally. We look forward to continuing these conversations and ensuring young people’s voices are heard at the highest levels of government. |
