Thank you so much to the villagers of Ellesborough who decided to use their annual ball in April to raise money for Youth Concern. Representing the organising committee, yesterday Jess Garmon-Jones and Julie East presented CEO Hannah with a rather large cheque for £9,500!
Youth Concern will spend the money raised on our Next Step Project, providing a home for young people at risk of homelessness and helping them learn to live independently. It’s a cause close to Ellesborough villagers’ hearts; the village has supported us in so many ways over the years.
On 30th April guests enjoyed delicious food, danced to an amazing international band, raised money through the silent auction, ‘Heads or Tails’ game and raffle, before dancing into the small hours in the silent disco. It takes a huge amount to work to organising events like this. On behalf of our current and future residents, a huge thanks go to everyone involved – the raffle prize and auction lot donors, the caterers and band and of course, the organisers.
