Annual General Meeting

Thank you to all our friends, volunteers, supporters and team members who attended Youth Concern’s AGM on Monday afternoon. A room full of people with a heart for young people, listening to young people talk about their experiences and how our charity has helped them. 

It was wonderful to welcome the following people to our Drop-in Centre:  

• the Mayor of Aylesbury 
• representatives from Buckinghamshire Council 
• grant-makers 
• corporate supporters 
• other charities including youth providers and housing associations 

and our volunteers. Our thanks go in particular to our trustees for giving so much to Youth Concern. 

We are passionate about giving Aylesbury Vale’s 13-25 year olds a voice. While it wouldn’t be right to share photos of our young speakers, we were grateful to everyone who spoke as part of our presentation, spoke privately to our audience, volunteered in our kitchen and offered refreshments. Public speaking takes confidence and that is no mean feat for young people who have come to us at a low ebb.  

Youth Concern has really valued everyone’s support over the last 2 years. The support you’ve given us meant we could support young people when they needed us most. On their behalf, thank you.
